Fulton Grove: A Transit-Oriented Development

Fulton Grove represents a prominent infill site in south central Winnipeg with redevelopment potential to help the city meet its sustainable growth and development vision as identified in OurWinnipeg. It is part of the Parker Lands which are 1 of the 11 Major Redevelopment Sites (MRS) in Winnipeg.

The Parker Lands present an unprecedented opportunity to demonstrate how a new urban neighbourhood can be knitted into the City’s existing urban fabric without compromising adjacent neighbourhoods.

Redevelopment potential was reinforced by the 2014 decision to route the SouthWest Rapid Transit Corridor (SWRTC) adjacent to the site, capitalizing on the opportunity to redevelop the site at higher densities as defined in the City of Winnipeg’s Transit Oriented Development Handbook.
